Universal Gateways
Smaller payees normally do not put forward complicated or unique requirements for interaction with their information (billing) systems. It is advisable to use universal gateways to interact with such payees. eKassir® universal gateways ensure interaction of the payment system with such payees typical groups. Docking with a certain payee is executed by means of setting up one of the universal gateways based on the client's requirements. There are the following universal gateways in eKassir® System:
- Gateways to work with prepaid cards;
- Off-line gateways with payment reports formation functionality;
- Off-line gateways with payment reports formation functionality;
- Gateway to work with databases.

Gateway to Work with Prepaid Cards
for Prepaid Card Purchase
The given gateway allows you to distribute any prepaid cards, logins and passwords and render similar services through payment terminals.
In general, the idea of payment acceptance for prepaid card is as follows:
- A file with prepaid card data of a certain service provider is downloaded to the server;

The following scenario is used for payment acceptance for the purchase of prepaid card:
- A payer selects a certain value prepaid card of the necessary service provider;
- A payment terminal sends a query to the server on the prepaid card availability. The card will then be reserved and its details transferred to the payment terminal (in case communication is lost at the time the money is being accepted);
- The payer inserts money and a receipt is printed out with card details. If the payer fails to deposit money then in some time the card is removed from reservation.
- Prepaid cards sale reports can be generated by means of eKassir® - automated operator’s workstation application.
Offline Gateway with Payments Register Formation Functionality
This gateway is designed for work with those clients that don’t require having immediate information about the payments made in their favor as a top priority. These may be various utility companies, condos, management companies and all other payment beneficiaries, which need to have information about payments once in a certain period of time (e.g. once a day or week). An offline gateway with payment register formation functionality is designed specially for such clients. Payment registers with data entered by payees are sent with a certain frequency to recipients by e-mail. The gateway functionality is as follows:
- Generated reports are sent by e-mail (as a rule);
- Frequency of sending registers is being configured based on the client’s requirements (in process of development);

- Registers can be ciphered using free or certified cryptographic libraries or compressed into archive;
- Payment system operator has an option of re-sending registers for an arbitrary time period (which is often needed for reconciliation).
Unikassa Gateway – Online Gateway with Information Entry Functionality into Service Provider’s Database
This gateway is most useful in the following cases:
- When on-line service provider’s notification is needed on the payment made in its favor;
- When service provider has its own access to the Internet and technical support personnel;
- Service provider does not have own protocol of data exchange with payment systems.
The most characteristic examples of the above clients can be small size Internet access providers, LANs and so on.
Gateway to Work with Databases
This is a gateway with rather complicated settings, which allows you to carry out a wide variety of payment acceptance scenarios and interaction protocols with payees. You can learn more details about it here.
